How to use the modules in Newsletters

  • The Audiri Newsletter tool uses modules to build standardised sections of your newsletter – saving you time while creating beautiful newsletters.

  • Below is an overview of the key modules available to build your newsletter.

The modules explained in this article are as follows:

1. Header module

  • Use this module to place your school logo and a title for the newsletter.

Editing the Header module

  • Navigate to the top right-hand corner of the Header module and click on Edit header.

    • The Edit header button becomes visible when you point your cursor anywhere within the header module.

  • Clicking the Edit header button shows a pop-up box.

  • From the pop-up box, you can perform the following:

    • Add a title

    • Add a subtitle

    • Choose from three different header layouts

    • Add the school logo.

      • To add the logo click on Add image on the pop-up box.

      • After uploading the image click on Save.

      • The logo will appear on the top of the header module.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

2. Title module

  • Use this module for headings and subheadings.

  • This is a great way to break your newsletter into different content sections.

  • There is also the option to add background images.

Editing the Title module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Title module makes the Edit Title button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Title button will show a pop-up box.

  • From the pop-up box, you can perform the following:

    • Add a title

    • Choose from three different layout types to position the title

    • Add or disable a text shadow effect

    • Add an image behind the title.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

3. Text module

  • Use this module for a short or long paragraph with a heading.

Editing the Text module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Text module makes the Edit Text button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Text button will show a pop-up box.

  • From the pop-up box, you can perform the following:

    • Add a title

    • Add written content

    • Format the content (use highlight, bold, Italic, underline, bullet points or numbered lists, add a table or embed a URL).

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

4. Text & Image module

  • Use this module for short or long paragraphs with a heading and an image.

Editing the Text & Image module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Text & Image module makes the Edit Text button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Text button will show a pop-up box.

  • From the pop-up box, you can perform the following:

    • Add a title

    • Add written content

    • Format the content (use highlight, bold, Italic, underline, bullet points or numbered lists, add a table or embed a URL).

    • Add an image:

      • Either drag and drop your image onto the pop-up box or

      • Click on the add image box to upload your image.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

5. Images module

  • Use this module to display one large image or many images in a gallery fashion. It's a great way to exhibit P&C flyers and adverts or display multiple images at once.

Editing the Images module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Images module makes the Edit Gallery button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Gallery button will show a pop-up box.

  • From the pop-up box, you can perform the following:

  • Choose from three different Layout options which give you a choice of how you would like your images displayed.

    • There are three layout options:

      • One large image

      • A gallery that allows the user to scroll through a carousel of images

      • A display of multiple, static images in a grid layout.

  • Add a title to the section/module.

  • Upload a single or multiple images and add captions to each image.

    • Either drag an image from your computer onto the Images pop-up box or click the "Drag image here or click to upload" button to upload an image.

    • Give it a caption if desired.

    • Repeat the process for multiple images, one by one, giving them captions.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

6. Event module

  • Use this module to give information about an event with optional fields for date, time and location.

Editing the Event module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Event module makes the Edit Event button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Event button will show a pop-up box in which you can:

    • Add a title of the event

    • Add a description of the event

    • Format the description

    • Add a start date and end date of the event

    • Add a start time and end time of the event.

    • Add the location of the event and choose whether to include the map of the location or not.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

7. File module

  • Use this module to upload documents such as PDF, Excel and Word files.

Note: There is a file size limit of 5MB.

Editing the File module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the File module makes the Upload File button visible.

  • Clicking on the Upload File button will show a pop-up box in which you can:

    • Add a PDF, Excel, or Word File

    • Add a title and a description to inform the parents about the uploaded file.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

8. Web/Media module

  • Use this module to attach a web link to the text.

  • This is also used to link videos from sites like YouTube and Vimeo.

  • This is a great way to store and share rich media.

Editing the Web/Media module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Web/Media module makes the Edit Web Link button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Web Link button will show a pop-up box in which you can:

    • Choose from four different Layout options to change the position of the URL within the module

    • Add a URL

    • Add a subtitle and description of the attached link.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.

9. Contact module

  • Use this module to add your organisation's details.

Editing the Contact module

  • Hovering your cursor anywhere in the Contact module makes the Edit Contact button visible.

  • Clicking on the Edit Contact button will show a pop-up box in which you can:

    • Choose from four different Layout options to display to contact details

    • Add a brief description of the school/organisation

    • Add the contact details of the school/organisation and links to your social media pages

    • Add an image or a logo of the school.

  • Once you have made the required changes click on Save.
