Direct messaging with individuals and groups

Use Audiri's new Messaging feature to reach individuals or small groups of parents directly.

As part of the Audiri launch, we have introduced a new Messaging feature. Messaging allows web console users to start discussions with individual parents or small groups on the mobile app.

  • At present, app users are not able to start discussions with your organisation.

  • Below are the instructions to start messaging app users.

Upgrading to the Messaging feature

If the Messaging feature is not included in your current package, follow the steps below to upgrade:

  1. Navigate to the All Features tab located in the lefthand menu of the Audiri web console.

  2. You will see a Messaging card on this page instructing you to contact sales.

  3. Click on the Messaging card, and then click the Contact us button to email our Sales team with your request at sales@audiri.com.au.

Messaging Individuals

  1. In the lefthand menu of the Audiri web console, click on the Messaging icon.

  2. Before you start your first conversation, you will see the screen below.

  3. Simply click on the Start a conversation button, or the + icon to the right of the search bar to start a new chat.

  • On the left of your screen, you will see a list of users. You can use the search bar to search for users by name or email address.

  • Click on the user's name to start a conversation, then start typing your message.

  • App users will receive an email notification once you start a conversation with them.

  • Push notifications will be sent to app users for subsequent messages and they can reply via the app.

Note: Staff with web console access can start a conversation with your app users.
App users can't start a conversation with your staff but can reply to your messages.

  • Once you're finished with the conversation and would like to delete it:

    • Click the user's name at the top of the screen

    • Then click Delete Conversation.

Messaging small groups

  1. Click on the Add new conversation button, or the + icon to the right of the search bar to start a new chat.

  2. Click on New Group under the search bar.

  3. Search for users by name or email in the search bar

    1. Click on the circle icon to the right of each user to add them to the group chat.

    2. Once you have added all users to the group, click Next.

  4. Give your chat thread a name.

  5. App users will receive an email notification once you start a conversation with them.

  6. Push notifications will be sent to app users for subsequent messages and they can reply via the app.

Note: Staff with web console access can start a conversation with your app users.
App users can't start a conversation with your staff but can reply to your messages.
